The International Convention Centre (The ICC)

The International Convention Centre Birmingham (ICC) in the heart of the city is the venue for the Congress. The main thoroughfare, the Mall, is flooded with natural light and connects the ICC’s many halls and meeting rooms with each other and the city itself.

The ICC

Its 10 halls, 10 meetings rooms and state-of-the-art media centre are organised over five floors. There is a dedicated registration zone on level three in the heart of the centre, which directly links to 3,050m2 of exhibition space in Hall 3. This hall will be the hub of the meeting accommodating the trade exhibition and poster sessions. The ICC Birmingham can accommodate up to 8,000 delegates in total, which is unusual for such a centrally located conference venue.

Technically the facilities are second to none with staging, state-of-the-art presentation and audio systems, telecommunications, lighting and trained technicians. In this day and age, it is also reassuring to know that the ICC Birmingham has a solid and long-standing commitment to environmental sustainability, with a variety of measures and initiatives in place to minimise its carbon footprint, manage waste effectively and encourage an eco friendly environment.

Over 60,000 cubic metres of concrete were used. It has since hosted such prestigious events as the G8 Summit in 1998, and many UK political party conferences.

The ICC Birmingham is superbly positioned at the heart of the UK and its transport network. A truly international city, Birmingham is within easy reach of one of the country's main international airports, the UK's largest interchange rail station and a motorway network that connects the ICC Birmingham to every part of the UK and beyond.
